Recently Acquired – Rylan Bruns Signs with Millionaires

The Mils are excited to announce that 2003-born forward Rylan Bruns has signed with hockey club for the 2021/22 SJHL season.  The rights to the Pincher Creek, Alberta product was acquired by the Mils from the Nipawin Hawks’ earlier this month.

“I have heard nothing but great things about the Millionaires and beyond excited to have the opportunity to further my hockey career with such an awesome organization. I can’t wait to meet the guys and get the season started”, Rylan Bruns told Mills Media on Wednesday.

The 6 foot 2, 200-pound forward played parts of the last two season with the Lethbridge U18 AAA Hurricanes (AEHL) where he had 5 goals 6 assists for 11 points in 33 games while also compiling 34 penalty minutes. Dylan scored 20 goals, added 20 assists along with 61 pims placed during his U16 AAA season in 2018-19.

“We are really happy that we are able to sign Rylan.  Trading for his SJHL playing rights a few weeks ago was the first step.  There was no guarantee he was going to sign. He has a number of elements to his game – size, power and tenacity that allows his skill set to be very effective in the tight areas.   Melville is becoming a destination for good young players such as Rylan.” explained General manager / Head Coach Mike Rooney.
