The Melville Millionaires have made a significant addition to their roster with the signing of forward Kale Margolis, a 2006-born player from Kinistino, Saskatchewan, who most recently played with the WHL’s Tri-City Americans.
Margolis joins the Millionaires after being released by the Americans earlier this season. The 6’1” forward brings valuable major junior experience to Melville’s lineup, having appeared in WHL action after signing a Development Agreement with Tri-City in 2024.
Before his time in the WHL, Margolis made a name for himself with the Prince Albert Mintos in the U18 AAA ranks, where he posted 40 points (19 goals, 21 assists) in 44 games during the 2023–24 season. His offensive instincts, work ethic, and versatility have been noted throughout his junior career.
Millionaires Head Coach and GM Doug Johnson praised the signing, saying, “Kale is a player with a strong hockey IQ and great compete level. We’re excited to add his skill and leadership to our group. He’s the kind of player who fits the culture we’re building here in Melville.”
Margolis will be expected to step into the lineup and contribute immediately as the Millionaires continue to push through the early part of the SJHL season. His experience at the WHL level should provide a steadying presence among a young Melville forward group.
Fans can look forward to seeing Margolis make his home debut in the blue and white in the coming days.
