The Melville Millionaires continue where they left off last week with a trade with Estevan, by completing a transaction with the Nipawin Hawks.
The Millionaires receive the SJHL List rights of Rylan Bruns from Pincher Creek, Alberta. Melville sent a conditional 5th round draft selection to Nipawin. Bruns is a 2003 born right winger. He has played the previous 2 season with the Lethbridge U18AAA Hurricanes.
“We had the opportunity to secure the SJHL playing rights to Rylan. He plays a direct – heavy game stated” GM / Coach Mike Rooney. “He makes great use of his 6’2 / 200 pound frame. Plays well in traffic, creates room for his teammates and shoots puck well. Rylan is a bit of a “throwback” in the sense that he brings such a physical presence. He has good straight line speed and hockey sense. Those attributes fit well into the style we strive to play”
Securing the SJHL list rights, now provides the opportunity for the Millionaires to start recruiting Bruns to come to Melville. Stay tuned !
