Mils’ Thackeray excited to advance career with Castleton Spartans (NCAA Div III)

Melville Millionaires’ graduating defenceman Dylan Thackeray will be advancing his hockey career at the collegiate level starting in the Fall of 2021.
Thackeray has committed to the Castleton Spartans of the New England Hockey Conference in Castleton, Vermont.
“I’m excited to commit to such a great place like Castleton during these hard times for all of us especially us graduating 20 year olds. Getting to play hockey at the next level and get a great education in the process was always a goal for me.”, Thackeray said.   The White City product joined the Mils in October of 2019 in a trade with the La Ronge Ice Wolves.  During his time in Melville, he scored 5 goals and had 11 assists for 16 points in 45 career games.
“I loved playing in Melville. It was unfortunate that our year was cut short, so it was difficult to not have the good-byes that us graduating players usually get. But playing in Melville was great, it was great community to be involved in and to play close to home was a bonus too and I wish them nothing but the best going forward.”
The Mils’ organization would like to thank Dylan for his time in Melville as a Millionaire and wish him nothing but the best going forward as he continues his hockey career at Castleton.
