Melville Millionaires Jr A Hockey Club – Game Day 50/50 (‘Raffle’)

OFFICIAL RULES: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of The Melville Millionaires Jr A Hockey Club, which shall be binding and final as to all matters related to the Raffle. The Raffle is operated under Provincial Lottery License No. LR20- 0042 and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws.

NET PROCEEDS: All net proceeds of the Raffle will benefit The Melville Millionaires Jr A Hockey Club, (hereafter known as “Sponsor”) and the programs that Sponsor supports.

PRIZES: Winner will receive 50% of the Total Raffle Sales. (‘Prize’)

ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER: During the dates and times and other details specified below, raffle tickets are available for purchase by anyone regardless of their residence if tickets are purchased in person at the game. Online purchases can be made at if the purchaser is located in the city of Melville and area. Online purchasers must provide their first name, last name, address, telephone number and e-mail as part of the purchase process and must purchase tickets with a valid credit card via a secure payment gateway.

Executive, directors, family and volunteers of the Melville Millionaires Jr A Hockey Club are allowed to purchase tickets for the draw. These tickets can only be purchased from another seller of tickets in the same manner as any other independent person would purchase tickets or may be purchased online.

On-line and hand held sales will open 1 hour prior to game time. On-line sales will end at the conclusion of the second period of the game. In-rink sales will end prior to puck drop of the third period as per usual process.

PURCHASING RAFFLE ENTRIES: The following prices and corresponding ‘ticket numbers’ are available for purchase: 1 ticket for $5, 5 tickets for $10, and 20 tickets for $20

NUMBER OF RAFFLE TICKETS: A maximum of 10,500 sets of tickets with a maximum 129,000 tickets available to be sold. The maximum value of ticket sales is $152,500 with a maximum prize payout of $76,250 with the following price levels and ticket sets:
1500 sets of 1 ticket for $5 3500 sets of 5 tickets for $10 5500 sets of 20 tickets for $20

THE DRAWS: A 50/50 raffle and draw will be held for all home games, regular season and playoffs, for the 2020/21 hockey season, starting November 6, 2020 and ending no later than June 30, 2021. The winning ticket number will be announced over the public address and posted online at If the winning ticket was purchased online, the purchaser will be contacted via telephone per the information they submit at time of online purchase.

The winning ticket is drawn electronically by random number generator approved by SLGA.


Winners must produce their winning ticket and the number on the ticket must match the random generated number.

The winner will have 90 calendar days from the draw date to claim their prize. Any unclaimed prizes will reused in a future The Melville Millionaires Jr A Hockey Club raffle in accordance with Section 13(d) of the SLGA's Terms and Conditions.

DETERMINATION OF OFFICIAL WINNER(S): Sponsor shall have the sole discretion to determine whether each Potential Winner is an official winner of a Prize (an ‘Official Winner’). Sponsor’s decision concerning the identity of all Official Winners shall be final and binding. To become an Official Winner: (1) a Potential Winner must be eligible to participate in the Raffle under these Official Rules and must not be in violation of these Official Rules as determined in Sponsor’s sole judgment; (2) that Potential Winner must claim the prize by the deadline specified above.

The winner must provide his/her name, address and phone number with picture identification to claim the prize. A scan of a valid provincial or federal photo identification card (i.e., driver’s license, firearm possession permit, passport, etc.) is acceptable.

AWARD OF PRIZE(S) TO OFFICIAL WINNER(S): A Prize will be awarded to the Potential Winner who has been designated by Sponsor as an Official Winner. The winner’s name will be published. All prizes will be awarded to the Winner via cheque. For security and auditing purposes, no cash payments will be made to winners.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Released Parties (defined below under ‘RELEASE OF LIABILITY’) are not responsible for: (1) Entries which are stolen, lost, damaged, illegible, given away or no longer in the purchaser’s possession, (2) Entries that have been or may have been tampered with or re-sold in violation of these Official Rules; (3) Entries or payments that are delayed, misdirected, undelivered, not fully captured, or garbled as a result of any failure or problem whatsoever with the availability, functionality, operability or use of any network, server, ISP, website, computer, telephone, cable or satellite modem or connection, hand held mobile device or any other computer equipment or connection, whether or not caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by viruses, worms, or malfunctions affecting a network, server ISP or any equipment or programming used in or associated with the Raffle; (4) any other errors of any kind, whether human, typographical, printing, mechanical, or electronic in nature, which relate to or are connected with the Raffle (collectively, as described in clauses (1) through (4), “Errors”), including without limitation Errors in Raffle-related materials or in the administration of the Raffle, such as Errors in processing Entries, identifying Potential Winners, determining Official Winners, or announcing or delivering Prizes; or If any portion of the Raffle is compromised, in Sponsor’s sole judgment, by a virus, worm, bug, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in Sponsor’s sole judgment, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Raffle, or the proper submission or

capture of Entries (collectively, a “Compromising Event”), then Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, modify or terminate the Raffle, and to select winners from all eligible, non-suspect Entries received before the known occurrence or discovery of such Comprising Event. All Entry purchases shall be final, and no refunds or replacements will be issued by Sponsor. Sponsor has sole and final decision on admissibility of entries and the determination of prize winner.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Entrants, by participating in the Raffle, agree that The Sponsor and Tap 50:50, each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, and advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, shareholders, members, consultants and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability for injuries, losses, cost, expenses or damages of any kind, including damages for death, personal injury, property damage.
