Melville Millionaires add Goaltender Coach

The Melville Millionaires are pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Wapple as Goaltending Coach.

Wapple has been a goaltender skills instructor for the past 5 seasons. The Saskatoon product now resides in Regina and has developed his coaching talents to provide goaltending development on a full-time basis. His private goaltender consulting business has grown quickly, and he is working with minor and junior hockey goaltenders throughout the province.

He is a former 4th round selection in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft by the Moose Jaw Warriors. He played 134 games over 5 seasons and backstopped the Regina Pats to an East Division Pennant in the 2014 – 15 season. Wapple completed his junior career with the Estevan Bruins of the SJHL. He went on to attend the University of Saskatchewan and played for the USport Men’s Huskies hockey team.

“We are very happy to have Daniel join our staff”, indicated GM/Head Coach Mike Rooney. “He has many great experiences and is a great communicator – he has an ability to connect to today’s athletes. His passion is infectious.”
